The Kingdom at the End
Moving with a thought, a lone soul resided in the kingdom at the beginning and end of the universe. Its great halls morphed from the ground, while walls of amethyst carried a reflection of the stars.
In the garden of the palace, a vibration began to displace its surroundings. The solitary soul watched on, both witnessing something that never happened, and something that always was.
A violent surge swelled from the landscape outpouring iron and magnesium in a rain of lights. Chromium and aluminum gases followed, adding to the anthology of hypnagogic colors. The surge grew in velocity and strength, when the impossible spectra leapt into the sky.
The light became a glimmer, as the faint plasma traversed like a distant star. With a blink, it disappeared. The great halls ceased to grow, and the garden settled in silence…
As the kingdom's sole heir stood waiting; thinking of his father.
